Flickr Updating

I am excited to say I am finally finished posting our October pictures on Flickr! There were a lot of pictures due to all of our Halloween Festivities, but we had a great time at all of them and I wanted to share as much as possible with everyone.

I've decided to try something new with all of my updating. I am going to start integrating the blog & Flickr together. From now on,I will rarely post pictures on the blog. I will however be including links that will allow you to check out some of our sets/photo albums on Flickr. I'm hoping this will save me some time in the future and will enable me to keep things streamlined and up-to-date. I will not be posting links to all of the different sets/photo albums - so if you want access to everything let me know, and I'll send you an invite to my account on Flickr.

Looks like I will be starting on November now!

Boys Will Be Boys!

Okay - Being a Mother of 2 boys...I'm officially having to mentally prepare myself for what's coming...

A Little Background to the Story:

This past weekend Andrew was outside helping Daddy in the yard all morning. In the back of my mind I was wondering what was going on, because Andrew had taken no potty breaks. (I'm usually in charge of such breaks since I'm inside & Cory doesn't have to stop working). It was pretty muddy outside so I find out (through Andrew) that he got to "pee on a tree". Andrew thought that this was lots of fun and thought that Dad was the coolest because of this new found adventure. (FYI - Daddy DID tell Andrew that he had to ask Mommy or Daddy if it was okay to go potty outside before he goes, and that there are special places & rules that you have to follow etc...)

Which Brings Us to this Morning:

After having a great time playing games, reading books, & playing some ball with Diva...Diva decides she HAS to go outside and do her "thang". It's been rainy here, so I have to take Miss Diva out on a leash. Sometimes Andrew likes to go outside too...but if he doesn't have any shoes on we make him stand on the mat so he won't get dirty & bring lots of dirt into the house. This morning, Diva was extremely picky in finding just the right spot, so I had to go around the corner of our yard with her because the leash wouldn't go as far as she deemed necessary. After the Princess finished up her business, I turn the corner to go back up on the porch and find Andrew with his pants down around his ankles peeing off the porch into the grass. Trying to remain in "Mommy Mode" and not break out in laughter...here's the conversation that followed:

Mommy: "What are you doing?!"

Andrew: "Don't worry Mommy, I'm just going potty. Daddy let me do it on the tree when we were working outside together."

Mommy: "Yes, I know he did...but remember you have to ask Mommy or Daddy before you go."

Andrew: "Oh yeah...Sorry Mommy. It's okay...it's just pee pee."

Moral to the Story:
Make sure you know everything that's being taught to your kids when you aren't around.

So, there you have it. The moments I will never forget, will treasure, and enjoy laughing about when I get to tell such embarassing stories to his girlfriend/wife one day.

Until next time...

Family Fun

Last night was the 2nd Official Aubuchon Movie night! I was thrilled because the 1st one took place when I was in Phoenix on my Girl's Trip and I missed it. We watched the Curious George Movie and it was a hit for all of us! Andrew absolutely was in heaven with freshly popped popcorn, and the candy we all went to the store to pick out earlier in the day. For all that are curious...we got Swedish Fish, Milk Duds, & Hot Tamales. Landon takes after me and fizzled before the movie even started - so we will be including him in the fun as he gets older.

We got Landon's birthday shopping done yesterday as well. As expected, because he has been the best Landon ever...he will be sufficiently spoiled!

Cute Andrew Story...

Friday - Me & the boys decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood. I think we all needed some more of that warm weather and I took advantage of the opportunity to stretch our legs. As we were walking down the street, Andrew was pointing to our neighbor's houses and asked who lived there...and there...and there. (We know some of our neighbors but not all to say the least.) So, we had just passed by Rebecca, Jose, & Reese's house and he pointed to the next house...

MOM - "Sorry Bub - I don't know who lives there."
ANDREW - "What about that one?"
MOM - "Nope, I don't know who lives there either."
ANDREW - "I KNOW WHO LIVES THERE!"
MOM - "You do?! Who?"
ANDREW - "Jesus!"

So, for all of you who think Jesus resides in Heaven...he doesn't anymore. He has taken residence as our neighbor down the street. :)

Well, Gotta run...
Until Next Time

So Much To Say...

Okay - I'm no where near caught up...but I couldn't hold out any longer.

I am officially working on October pictures in Flickr. Yes, OCTOBER...like I said Im no where near caught up! :) I cherish all of our photos, but geesh it gets a bit ridiculous when it comes to posting them for all to see! ;)

I just wanted make sure y'all know that I have the most special family in the world! I cherish them to pieces and I will never ever take a one of them for granted. The way they make me smile, make me walk taller because I am so proud of them, and the way they motivate me to be a better person, wife, and mother. I am eternally grateful that they are in my life! Cory, Andrew, & Landon - you are my most treasured gifts!

Andrew is a hoot these days. Keeps us in stitches and wondering where he comes up with some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth.

EXAMPLE #1:
Scene: Kitchen - After dinner and we are cleaning up the table.
ANDREW: Can I put this cheese away?
MOM: Sure - put it in the drawer in the fridger (that's what Andrew calls the fridge)
DAD: You know the one with the turkey and other cheese
ANDREW: That's the cinnamon roll drawer!
MOM & DAD: Yes - That's the one
(Andrew puts the parm away in the drawer)
MOM: Thanks so much - that's such a great help!
ANDREW: It was my pleasure! There was nothing to it! I'm happy to help!

EXAMPLE #2:
Andrew learned his first knock-knock joke and told it to me yesterday
ANDREW: Knock Knock
MOM: Who's there?
ANDREW: Cargo
MOM: Cargo Who?
ANDREW: Car go Beep-Beep
Laughter erupts from both of us...and this joke is repeated throughout the rest of the morning...no less than another 50 times.

Landon is growing more & more each day. He is so much fun to play with and we just enjoy being around him. He has a vibrant personality and his face and eyes can light up a room. He has been a little under the weather lately...but hopefully we'll get him on the mend soon. He is army crawling everywhere and rolls up onto his knees all of the time. He just hasn't figured out how fast he will be able to motor in a "real" crawl, but I think we're close. He has also learned to roll up on his knees and roll back into a sitting position which he enjoys. It's amazing to witness all of the new discoveries he makes on a daily basis. It's hard to believe he's going to be 1 next week! This past year has really flown by - and we have loved having him in our family.

Well, I better run and get some "real" work done around here. I'm thinking about sneaking some peanut butter cookies into the agenda this afternoon too...my Grandma's special recipe and they are wonderful!

Until Next Time...

(I will try and do a re-cap of all of our activities and what we've been up to over the past few months...but that will be down the road a bit.)
