Where does the time go?!

Okay - so I promised to be more on top of updating this thing...and now a month has gone by and I haven't done very well!

Overall, things are going great for the family. I am really enjoying staying at home with Andrew. We keep ourselves busy by going to play in the park, playing with his toys, practicing sign language, tormenting Diva...and last but not least watching a little Mickey Mouse and Tigger. He is really talking up a storm now, and his personality is really starting to come out. It is so much fun to see! He keeps Cory and I laughing and on our toes to say the least.

Cory is doing great. He got to go the the Texas vs. OU game last weekend and had a great time with the guys. He is also a lifesaver when I need a little extra help...I don't know what I would do without him!

I am doing well. I am now 17 weeks along and just started to feel the baby move. It's very subtle and random...but I know he/she will be giving me those good ol' kicks to the ribs before I know it. Andrew is very excited to be a big brother and gives the baby kisses daily.

We went to see one of our favorite bands (Dashboard Confessional) on Wednesday at the Palladium Ballroom. It was one of the best performances we have seen. Thanks to "Mimi" who came up to watch Andrew and spend a couple of days with us. We had such a wonderful time!

We are also looking forward to Aunt Becky coming down to visit. Andrew and I will be picking her up from the airport and heading down to Mimi's for a couple of days. It's time for a girls weekend...and Andrew is looking forward to being spoiled by all of us.

A Promise to Catch Up!

Okay - so since I've started this thing I have been pretty delinquent in updating it regularly. I am going to work really hard to keep this up-to-date going forward. I have lots to add...Andrew's Surgery, Our Vacation, etc...so stay tuned!

While Daddy's Away...

...the family will play! While Cory is back in St. Louis for a guys golf weekend, we have decided not to let the excitement die on the vine back here in Texas! Here's the fun and exciting things we have to look forward to over the next couple of days. This afternoon I am taking Andrew back to the Dr. to get his ears checked out again. We were doing so good for a while there...and now we're back to sending our Dr's kids through school and probably helping purchase anything else they want at this point. I was hoping to take both Andrew & Diva to the park to play this evening, however there are reports that another monsoon is on its way and is going to plant itself over the area through tomorrow...BOO! Tomorrow we will be taking it easy in the a.m., because I'm taking Andrew to get his pictures taken in the late afternoon...maybe we'll make an ice cream run afterwards to reward our model (...okay and his Mommy!). Sunday holds for us a mini roadtrip. Andrew and I will be taking out for Tyler, TX to meet my Mom for lunch and a little shopping. It should be a good time! I will try and take pictures of our experiences and post a couple here and more on flickr. Until then...

A Little Splurge!

I ordered these 2 items last week and just picked them up today! I must say I fell in love with them and am extremely pleased with how they turned out. Every child loves having something made just for them and I believe these will be keepsakes Andrew will treasure throughout his life. Customized with his very favorite and most special friend "Puppy"...he adds even more sentimental value to these pieces. Although I did splurge on them - I will never regret my decision to spend a little extra $$$ for something so special for Andrew!
